Help out a nub!

Lately I've noticed way more cpu activity and random chugging while in game. Ive searched and cant seem to find anything that should be hogging all my resources. Granted i do have vista my system usually runs just fine. Basically im just a noob but my cpu is way to active at idle when it should be doing pretty much nothing.

So anyone know of a good program(s) to diagnose my system and find unwanted processes??? or maybe something that deletes dlls or some fuckin shit. Some suggestions would be appreciated.

try avast antivirus and malwarebytes anti malware

Get spybot search and destroy too

Microsoft also has a decent online antivirus/malware scanner. You have to run it in IE

Ive had spybot s&s avg free and ad-aware. I got rid of avg and dl the new version of Ad-aware and scanned with that and i found a trojan in my registry. I keep the shield running all the time cuz it dosnt eat many resources. spybot is only good for scans, resident hogs way to many resources. I also took Diesel's advice and downloaded Malewarebytes, Spyware blaster and Avast. There all pretty good and my system seems to be running better. Thanks for the help

defrag! delete some space so u only have 1/2 the disk drive or more free

avast is really good.. I use it, it can pre-determine if a link or a file is a virus before the file is acquired.

Talk about an ideal world.

Since my main storage drive started squealing I have been running about 90% full. I have not noticed a slow down, my paring repairs are still as fast as ever. Although my machine does defrag once week.
